Islamic calligraphy, also known as Arabic calligraphy, is the art of writing, and by extension, of bookmaking (Bloom 1999, page 218). There are several types of style in writing Islamic calligraphy and the famous are Thuluth, Khufi, Nasakh, Diwani, Farsi and Riq’a.
